Virtualisation of servers and desktops rolled out at Robin Simon LLP' – Thu, 20 Jan 2011

 

Consolidating IT assets is key to driving down cost and maxmising the use of server equipment across a business estate. Robin Simon have realised this benefit after 3sixty identifed some 30 servers could be consolidated downt to just 6 weeks!

Partnering with Microsoft, using the latest Microsoft Server 2008 Hypervisor platform we managed to consolidate the server estate and launch a centralised strategy within just 6 weeks.

Also deployed was a full replacement of the desktop environment from local desktop images to a fully virtualised desktop in the cloud! This enabled a centrally managed desktop platform that is easier to deploy, maintain and support.

Overall, key cost saving are realised within 12 months and computer assets (desktops) have a longer term lifespan as all the desktop power is being run and operated within the data centre.

3sixty also partnered with Hewlett Packard (HP) for the server and storage assets throughout the project.

 


 

3sixty secures a Microsoft Sharepoint outsourced development partnership' – Sun, 10 Oct 2010

 

A partnership for outsourced development was agreed between 3sixty and 2e2 in October 2010. The partnership will see 3sixty being on the outsourced development panel for 2e2 with particular projects interest in:-

  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • Microsoft .NET development / integration

A SCRUM based project approach will be adopted across the board for the delivery as project teams will be spread across the world.

We have also adopted the latest Microsoft .NET 4 architecture sat on top of the leading enterprise server SQL Server 2008.

Cruise 118 expands and asks 3Sixty to enhance their Travel based 3SLive CRM' – Sat, 05 Jun 2010

 

Cruise 118, the leading UK travel retailer has seen a massive growth in turnover and in turn staff numbers after their successful contract to be the exclusive cruise retailer for Travelsupermarket.com. This growth from a fledgling start up in 2008 has seen the company go from a standing start to just over a turnover of £28 million.

Cruise chose 3sixty to deploy our Microsoft based 3SLive CRM product and tailor the package for the exact needs of the cruise travel industry, in particular key changes for Cruise 118. Having grown the team by a further 30% in just 1 year, more investment was sanctioned to smooth the entire workflow process to ensure productivity was maximised to keep staff numbers at an optimum.

It was agreed for 3sixty to develop and enhance the 3SLive CRM package with a significant additional investment of over £100,000 from Cruise 118 which also encompassed a move from the shared 3SLive CRM platform to a dedicated server environment.

Go live for the Cruise enhancements will be live by April 2011.
